Love to Dance Academy

Love to Dance Academy is a renowned dance school located in Merritt, British Columbia, and is a program of the Merritt Dance Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality dance instruction to students of all ages. Artistic Director and Instructor, Kia Henriksen, brings a wealth of experience to the academy, having trained in tap, ballet, jazz, and acrobatics from a young age. With certifications from organizations such as ADAPT, ADTA, and PBT, Kia is known for her innovative choreography and her ability to inspire and educate students of all levels.

Instructor Rene Bauwens, a native of Merritt, BC, is a trained ballet dancer with a background in English Writing and Visual Arts. Rene's passion for teaching and her belief in the practical benefits of ballet have made her an invaluable addition to the Love to Dance Academy faculty. Her dedication to instilling self-discipline, self-control, and character in her students through ballet is truly commendable.
