Louise Cave Fitness is a vibrant and welcoming fitness centre located in Seaford, New Zealand. With spacious and airy halls, visitors are invited to join any of the classes without having to book in advance. Doors are always open to allow for fresh air circulation, creating a comfortable and energetic atmosphere. However, newcomers are encouraged to contact Louise Cave beforehand to receive a medical or contact form, ensuring a safe and personalised experience.
At Louise Cave Fitness, the focus is on teaching Fitness, Gold, and Toning classes that will help individuals achieve their fitness goals in a fun and enjoyable way. The classes incorporate a variety of music styles, making it exercise in disguise for those who love to move to the beat. Dance experience is not required, only a passion for music, old and new.
The Fitness class is a high-energy dance fitness class that incorporates different styles of music. It is designed for individuals who are reasonably fit but looking to improve their fitness levels. Additionally, every few weeks, participants will engage in 10 minutes of specific tummy and arm toning exercises, such as sit-ups, using a mat at the end of the session.
Gold classes, on the other hand, cater to individuals who are new to exercise or have had injuries, illnesses, or pregnancies. These classes focus on improving balance, flexibility, coordination, cognitive ability, and most importantly, having fun through dancing. With the integration of 60s music, Gold classes carry a nostalgic and uplifting atmosphere.
For those wanting an all-over body workout with a specific emphasis on toning the tums and arms, Toning classes are available. Participants use weighted maracas to shake, boogie, and tone while enjoying the music. Once a month, maracas are used for some tracks, and participants are informed in advance, so they can bring their own weights if desired. Both the Fitness and Gold classes incorporate this toning session.
In addition to the classes, Louise Cave Fitness offers a walking group that meets every Monday morning at the Buckle car park in Seaford. The group walks along the promenade to Splash Point and back, with an opportunity to stop for coffee at one of the cafés along the way. This is a perfect opportunity for individuals who enjoy walking but lack companionship. The walking group accommodates participants of all speeds, ensuring everyone finds a suitable pace.
Proudly supporting local charities, Louise Cave Fitness conducts monthly fundraising efforts. Half of the money received from class participants is donated to a chosen local charity. Each month, Louise Cave herself participates in various activities to raise additional funds. Past charities supported include Newhaven RNLI, Out of the Blue, ABC Children's Fund, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Chestnut Tree House.
By attending a class at Louise Cave Fitness, participants are not only keeping fit but also contributing to the welfare of the local community.
