Established in 2009, Loughton Taekwondo is a well-respected martial arts club located in Loughton, Essex. With a focus on teaching the Korean Martial Art and modern Olympic sport of Taekwondo, Loughton Taekwondo is the only club in Essex that is affiliated to British Taekwondo, the National Governing Body for World Taekwondo in the UK.

For younger students, Loughton Taekwondo offers child-friendly sessions that are both fun and aimed at helping improve coordination, balance, and discipline. Additionally, the club offers family sessions that allow parents, children, or siblings to train together, fostering closer bonds while also improving health and fitness, confidence, self-esteem, and learning new skills.

The club is led by a team of experienced and dedicated instructors, including Master Chan Sau, a 5th Dan Black Belt instructor, Charlene Sau, Paul Cave, and Chris Essl, all with 2nd Dan Black Belts.
Loughton Taekwondo offers various classes to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Class locations include Debden Park High School on Willingale Road in Loughton. The class schedule includes sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, covering foundation classes for young students, family Taekwondo sessions, and intermediate/advanced classes.
Membership at Loughton Taekwondo includes registration with British Taekwondo (BT), the National Governing Body for Taekwondo in the UK. This membership provides insurance coverage and eligibility to participate in competitions, events, and gradings. The club offers flexible monthly fees, with options available for one class per week or unlimited attendance at all suitable classes. Loughton Taekwondo operates as a not-for-profit organisation, with no membership contracts or minimum term tie-ins.
Newcomers to Loughton Taekwondo have the opportunity to try a free class before joining. Once they decide to join, they can purchase a new starter pack, which includes their uniform, British Taekwondo membership and insurance, and their first month of classes. Monthly fees are paid at the beginning of each month, and family discounts are available.
