Looe Bowls, the thriving, and friendly bowls club situated in the Hannafore area of West Looe, is excited to promote an upcoming local Lawn Bowls event. This is a fantastic opportunity for interested players to come and experience the sport of bowls in a stunning location overlooking the sea front towards Looe Island.
Established back in 1913, Looe Bowls has been actively participating in a variety of friendly fixtures and league matches throughout the playing season, which runs from April to the end of September. But it's not just about competitive play! The club also hosts regular club nights and social events, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all members, old and new.
If you're just visiting Looe and fancy a game, you're in luck! Equipment can be hired on site, allowing you to enjoy a fun-filled game of bowls. However, please note that the Bowling Green, Putting & Boule are currently closed for the 2023 season. But don't worry! The club is eagerly looking forward to reopening in April 2024, giving you another chance to experience the joy of bowling in this picturesque seaside location.
Now, let's talk fees. For those ready to roll, the cost of bowling is a mere £6 per person for up to 2 hours of play. If you feel like trying your hand at putting, the price is set at £3.50 for adults and a budget-friendly £2.00 for children. Opening hours are from morning until 4:30 pm, but please bear in mind that the availability of the putting green and bowls may vary. These facilities are managed by our dedicated club volunteers, so their schedules could be subject to change. And since Mother Nature can sometimes have her own plans, please be aware that during inclement weather, access to our beloved green and bowls may not be possible.
If you need any further information or have any questions, please feel free to contact Looe Bowls at 01503 265732. Our friendly team will be more than happy to assist you.
So mark your calendars and spread the word about this exciting Lawn Bowls event at Looe Bowls. We can't wait to welcome you and share the joy of this incredible sport in our beautiful seaside setting.
