Hey everyone 👋,
London Ju Jitsu – Tottenham Court Road is thrilled to invite the sports community to join in on some traditional Ju Jitsu training right here in London. Specialising in self-defence techniques, throws, strikes, chokes, and joint locks, they’ve got a well-rounded training programme for all skill levels.
Chris Lacy, the organiser at London Ju Jitsu, firmly believes that Ju Jitsu is a fantastic self-defence discipline anyone can learn – no matter your age or gender. With roots going back to the Samurai era in Japan, Ju Jitsu is one of the oldest martial arts around and a forerunner to Judo and BJJ.
Established in 2002, London Ju Jitsu stands as a leading martial arts club in the city. Their experienced instructors blend traditional techniques with modern applications, making it practical and engaging. You might have seen them featured in Men's Fitness Magazine as “Absolutely the best Martial Art for Self-defence.”
Classes are available at three convenient locations: Tottenham Court Road on Mondays (19:00-21:00), Tooting on Tuesdays and Thursdays (19:00-21:00), and West Wickham with adult classes on Wednesdays (19:30-21:30) and children’s classes on Saturdays.
London Ju Jitsu is proudly affiliated with the Fighting Arts Organisation of Great Britain and is run by Sensei Chris Lacy, along with Sensei Salur Onural and their team of black belts. They follow the Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu style, a method developed back in the Edo period in Japan.
Sensei Chris and the team are committed to providing a safe, disciplined, and friendly environment for all students. Their approach ensures that everyone not only hones their self-defence skills but also has a great time doing it.
Stay connected with London Ju Jitsu for updates, news, and events through their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blog, and YouTube channel.
Looking forward to seeing you on the mat! 👍🥋
