The London Warriors American Football Program is currently seeking new members to join their exciting and dynamic soccer club in London. With six teams to choose from, including Adult Men's, Adult Women's, Junior (U19), Youth (U16) Kitted/Flag, and Cadet (U12) Flag, there is a place for everyone to get involved.
For those interested in the more intense side of the game, the Adult Men's team plays 11 side full contact American football. On the other hand, the Adult Women's Team plays a 5 on 5 version of the game with flag football in winter and fully kitted in Autumn. Junior (U19) and Youth (U16) teams also play the fully kitted version of the game, while Cadets (U12) only play the 5 on 5 flag version.
The London Warriors provides helmets and shoulder pads that can be loaned to the Under 19 teams, although players are encouraged to purchase their own equipment. Whether it's footwear, training sweats, or a gum shield, these items are mandatory at all levels. Don't worry about game day jerseys and pants, as the club supplies those. Remember, players also need to register with the league to ensure they are insured to play and appear on the team roster.
To be a part of this incredible club, members are required to pay membership fees and game day fees, which go towards supporting our non-profit organisation. The game day fees help to cover travel costs and ensure we have qualified medical staff on hand during game days. During practice, players are encouraged to try out different positions suitable for them, as selection for the team takes into account ability, attitude, and commitment. Practice times do vary depending on the team. Junior, Youth, and Cadet training sessions take place on Sundays, while the Women's Adult team trains on Saturdays. It's important to note that our coaching staff consists of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the sport and committed to helping you develop your skills.
