For those looking for a more competitive experience, Lockwood South Bowls Club offers Club Championship events as well as the opportunity to participate in Midweek and Weekend Pennants in the Geelong Bowls Region competition. In fact, the club achieved a remarkable accomplishment recently, with all seven of its Pennant teams making it to the finals and the Division 1 Pennant team winning the topship and moving up to the top League.
Lockwood South Bowls Club boasts excellent facilities, including three outdoor greens. These comprise two grass greens and one synthetic green, known as the 'Founder's Green', which is located in front of the clubhouse. The synthetic green is equipped with lighting, allowing play in all seasons, day, and night. In addition, the club has a four-rink carpeted green beneath the clubhouse, used for coaching and practise throughout the year.
The clubhouse itself is spacious, with a capacity to seat over 160 members, players, or guests. The commercial-grade kitchen is utilised by members or the club's in-house caterer for club event meals. There is also a large function room, perfect for hosting various social events.
