Little Stars Multi-Sensory Movement & Ballet

Welcome to Little Stars Multi-Sensory Movement & Ballet, a dance club located in Swansea, NZ. This club offers a range of classes designed to nurture early development and enhance the caregiver-child bond through dance, music, and play. The classes cater to babies from 3 months to 12 months old, as well as children from 3 months to 6 years old.

At Little Stars, the mission is to provide a playful and creative approach to movement education in the early years. The programmes are based on current best practises and recommendations in early childhood development, ensuring that every class is both educational and enjoyable for children and caregivers alike.

The club is led by Miss Emma, a Primary School Teacher and Certified Intellidance Teacher. With her expertise, she guides participants through the Intellidance programmes enjoyed worldwide. These classes aim to support early neural development and promote physical, cognitive, and emotional health in children. Each week, a new developmental topic is introduced, allowing caregivers to understand how to best support their baby's growth.

In the Intellidance Babies Class, caregivers will witness the growth and learning of their little ones through circle dances, free exploration, songs and rhymes, and sensory activities. This class strengthens the caregiver-baby bond while nurturing early neural development.

For little ones who are already on the move, the Intellidance Tykes Class focuses on nurturing gross motor, emotional, and social development. Through movement concepts, circle dances, free exploration, songs and rhymes, and sensory activities, children learn joyfully while making friends and socialising with others.

The Intellidance Tots Class offers independent movers and caregivers a lively environment to experience the joy of dance and movement together. This class encourages problem-solving skills and explores movement concepts, helping children gain balance, flexibility, and coordination. Animated storytelling, songs and rhymes, instruments, props, and simple choreography add to the fun and excitement.

For those interested in ballet, the Let's Play Ballet and CD Class provides a relaxed and nurturing introduction to dance and music concepts. Through a multisensory approach that includes nursery rhymes, inspiring music, instruments, stories, games, and props, children develop control of their bodies and improve balance. This class also allows children to communicate their thoughts and feelings about movement.
