Little Ranch Horse Riding Lessons

Little Ranch is a Pony Club Accredited Riding Centre located in Yorklea, NSW. This riding school was inspired by a pair of enthusiastic young cowboy lads and their dedicated mother, Josie Richardson. Together, they have created a welcoming space where anyone eager to learn about horse riding can do so in a fun and exciting environment. Josie, a qualified instructor with a lifelong passion for horses, leads a team of young riders who are eager to share their knowledge and make every lesson an enjoyable experience.

At Little Ranch, they offer a range of services, including lessons, camps, and clinics. Whether you have your own horse or want to ride one of the school's well-trained horses, they cater to all ages and experience levels. Lessons take place at Little Ranch itself, but they also conduct camps and clinics at the prestigious Casino Show Grounds, featuring some of the best instructors in the Northern Rivers region.

As for lesson options, Little Ranch offers group lessons, individual lessons, and introduction to trail riding sessions. They also have special programmes such as the Ladies Group, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening. For those looking for a more intensive experience, they offer holiday intensives and multi-day camps at Casino Show Grounds. Additionally, they conduct Pony Club Certificate Assessments for those seeking to achieve specific equestrian certifications.

Little Ranch has a clear schedule and pricing structure. They offer weekly lessons during Term 1, which includes 10 lessons to be used within the term. Lessons are held Monday through Thursday, with different time slots available. Catch-up lessons are available within the term if a lesson is missed; however, notice must be given by 8 am on the day of the lesson.

Lessons continue regardless of the weather, so riders need to come prepared with personal accident cover, helmets, and boots. Little Ranch supplies everything else, including the ponies, although they can currently only accommodate riders up to 90 kg. They are actively seeking a larger horse to join their team in the future.

It's worth noting that personal accident cover is required for riders and is available at a cost of $110 per calendar year. Becoming a Pony Club member also provides access to this coverage. As an added convenience, Little Ranch accepts Active Kids vouchers and offers gift vouchers and Afterpay as payment options.
