Littlehampton Yacht Club was founded in 2010 by Robert and Fiona Boyce. The club has a rich history, with a boat club existing on the River Arun since 1872. The Boyce family has deep roots in the area, with their ancestors founding William Osbornes and the Arun Shipyard over 100 years ago. Osborne's was a renowned boat builder, employing many locals and producing numerous lifeboats, RIBs, and pilot vessels.
Today, you can still see signs of Osborne's presence along the riverbanks.
