Little n Active is a program offered by PCYC Bundaberg, a fitness club in Bundaberg West, that focuses on developing children's physical literacy through active and creative play. This program is specifically designed for children under 5 and encourages active parental participation. The classes take place in a safe and welcoming space, aiming to promote curiosity, problem-solving, comprehension, and social skills.
At Little n Active, they understand that children grow and develop at different rates, which is why they offer classes that cater to different ages and developmental stages. Each 45-minute class is carefully structured to provide developmentally appropriate activities that build fundamental movement and improve physical ability. The classes are divided into four sections – welcome and open exploration, group time, guided adventure, and farewell. What's great is that the adventures change every fortnight, ensuring that children are constantly engaged and excited.
Let's take a look at the different classes they offer based on age groups. First, they have Playtime classes for approximately 0 months to 2 years. These classes focus on stimulating sensory experiences and early development, providing a fantastic foundation for these young ones. Moving on, Munchkins classes are designed for confident walkers aged 18 months to 2.5 years who enjoy exploring and imitating. Sprouts classes, suitable for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, focus on activities like hopping, jumping, balancing, and social play. Finally, they have Tykes classes for children aged 4 to 5 years, which aim to develop skills such as listening, following instructions, cooperation, and challenge the children in a fun and engaging way.
But that's not all! Little n Active also offers a class called Sibs. This class is specifically designed for families with multiple siblings under the age of five. It allows for reduced adult assistance, providing a great opportunity for siblings to play and learn together.
To keep things exciting, the program introduces different adventures each block. Some upcoming adventures include a beach trip, jungle exploration, nursery rhyme-themed activities, and superhero adventures. These adventures help children engage in fundamental movement and explore various environments, making each class a unique and enriching experience.
If you're interested in enrolling your child in Little n Active or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to PCYC Bundaberg. They'll be more than happy to provide you with more information and assist you with the enrolment process. So why wait?
