The Lisa Cooper Dance Academy, founded in 2012, is located in the Avalon Centre in Sligo town. Led by ex-professional dancer and fully registered Dance Teacher Lisa Cooper, the academy offers classes for children aged 3 years and above. The school covers a wide range of dance styles, including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Tap, and Commercial dance.
At LCDA, the focus is on providing a safe and fun learning environment for children to explore the art of dance, build confidence, and make new friends. The academy welcomes children of all abilities, whether they are dancing for fun or aspiring to pursue a career in dance. Students have the opportunity to perform at various events throughout the year and can also take medal tests and graded examinations with the BTDA to further their dance education and qualifications.
