Lions Arena, also called the Customer Service Arena, is a top spot for ice skating and hockey in Kitchener. The arena offers a range of activities, such as a walking track, public skating sessions, and pick-up hockey games.

The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation indoor track is situated above the KMHA Alumni ice pad at the Activa Sportsplex. It provides a safe, accessible space for walkers to use year-round, and is open every day for free. Each lane offers either a kilometre or mile length for walkers to enjoy.

Paul wants to make sure everyone is prepared when visiting the walking track – come dressed in your walking clothes since there are no change rooms or showers available. There are washrooms at track level, though they follow limited capacity protocols. Lockers in the upper lobby are available for personal item storage, but it’s best to leave valuables at home.

In addition to the walking track, Lions Arena offers public skating sessions. Thanks to Josslin Insurance, there's Free Community Skating available at local Kitchener arenas, no registration needed. The public skating schedule is regularly updated, so there are plenty of chances for everyone to lace up their skates and have a good time on the ice.
