Lintman Archery Club is a friendly and family-oriented club located in South Ascot, on the Surrey / Berkshire border between Windlesham and Ascot. Whether you're an experienced archer or have never shot a bow before, the club welcomes everyone and offers a range of opportunities to get involved in the sport.
The club is dedicated to promoting the enjoyment and skill of archery. They run Archery GB recognised beginner courses, delivered by qualified coaches, to provide a great introduction to target archery. These courses are suitable for all ages, from 9 to 90, and cater to both left and right-handed individuals. Each course consists of four two and a half hour sessions over two consecutive Saturdays, with morning and afternoon options available.
During the course, participants will learn about target archery, the basics of technique, and how to stay safe. All necessary equipment is provided.
In addition to beginner courses, the club also offers coaching for those looking to improve their skills or develop their archery further. They have a management committee in place to ensure the smooth running of the club, along with various club policies and fees to maintain organisation and support its activities.
Lintman Archery Club meets throughout the year at their outdoor range, and during the winter months, they have access to excellent indoor facilities. Unfortunately, due to the upcoming closure of their current range in August 2023, the club is currently searching for a new outdoor range and is not admitting new members at this time.
While the club focuses on providing opportunities for archery enthusiasts, they regretfully cannot accommodate children's parties or corporate events. Their primary focus is on maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for archers of all abilities.
For those interested in local archery competitions, the club participates in various leagues and tournaments. They also have their own Club Competitions and Awards, such as the Frostbite League and Portsmouth League. Participants can work towards achieving Archery Progress Awards and the prestigious 252 Awards in different categories.
