Linslade Taekwon-Do UKTKD

Jason Toms wants to share some exciting information about Linslade Taekwon-Do UKTKD with the sports community.

Located in Leighton Buzzard, Linslade Taekwon-Do UKTKD is known for teaching Taekwon-Do principles like courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. The club welcomes everyone, from beginners to experienced martial artists.

Jason, the main instructor, holds a 3rd Dan Black Belt and an AMA Coaching Diploma. He's First Aid Qualified, DBS Checked, Fully Insured, and has the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport certification. With over a decade of experience, he brings valuable knowledge and expertise.

Classes are held at the Cottesloe School Sports Hub every Sunday. Beginners attend from 10:00-11:00, while advanced students train from 11:00-12:00. The first lesson is free, giving new students a chance to get a feel for the environment and meet others.

The curriculum includes fitness, patterns, line work, and sparring. Fitness training focuses on endurance, strength, and agility through basic circuit principles. Patterns practice involves fundamental attack and defence movements against an imaginary opponent. Line work covers blocks and counter-attacks in a controlled manner. Sparring helps students improve their defensive and offensive skills with controlled contact.

It usually takes about four years of consistent effort to reach black belt level. Throughout training, students not only improve physically but also develop mental fortitude, self-confidence, and discipline.

Linslade Taekwon-Do UKTKD offers a friendly and supportive atmosphere where students can grow and achieve their goals, whether it's improving fitness, learning self-defence, or making new friends.
