Founded in 1985, Lindsay Rugby Football Club (LRFC) is a vibrant and inclusive club located in the picturesque town of Lindsay in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario. The club's mission and mandate are centred around promoting, developing and administering the playing of rugby under safe conditions, while increasing the participation of male and female players of all ages, races, and creeds.
LRFC is dedicated to increasing the number of groups and educational establishments playing rugby in an organized manner, and delivering policies and programs that enable members to reach their maximum potential. The club is also committed to integrating into the development plans of Kawartha Lakes, contributing to the community facility inventory and nurturing success through education and example.
The club offers training for various teams, including U18 Boys, U18 Girls, and U16 teams, with schedules available on the Team Page. LRFC provides a supportive and welcoming environment for players to develop their skills and passion for the sport.
LRFC is deeply connected to its community, and sadly acknowledges the loss of members such as Liam Geddes and Ryan Hill, who will always be remembered for their contributions both on and off the field. The club honours their memory and continues to strive for excellence in their names.
LRFC celebrates its achievements, such as the Sr. Men's team's victory in the TRU Cup Championship. Head coach Steve Lamb led the team to an impressive 53-10 win over Mississauga, showcasing the talent and dedication of LRFC's players.
The annual LRFC AGM provides an opportunity for members to get involved in the club's governance and volunteer opportunities, ensuring that the club continues to thrive and grow. With a strong sense of community and a passion for rugby, Lindsay Rugby Football Club is a place where players of all levels can come together to share in the love of the sport.
