Welcome to Lincoln Stud, located in Warlingham, New Zealand. Lincoln Stud is a horse riding field owned and operated by Michaela Tomlinson, a renowned competitor, trainer, and instructor. With her wealth of experience, Michaela is capable of working with a wide range of horses and riders, instilling confidence and providing valuable guidance.

Throughout her career, Michaela has been influenced by esteemed coaches such as Helen Webber, Terry Allen, Lucy Thompson, Ernest Dillon, and currently trains with Shane Breen. This ongoing training allows Michaela to continuously improve her own riding skills and stay up to date in the ever-competitive world of horse riding.

At Lincoln Stud, Michaela offers a variety of services including horse and rider development, livery services, sales, and training. She believes in the importance of good training and encourages her clients to seek ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and improve their performance.

Michaela's own journey in horse riding began in her childhood, where she was an active member of the Pony Club. Representing the Warlingham branch, she excelled in eventing, show jumping, and dressage, passing all the Pony Club exams, including the A test at the age of 18.

Eventing has always been Michaela's passion, and she has successfully progressed through the grades, reaching the Four Star Three Day Event level. After completing her A-levels and a Business Studies Diploma, Michaela joined Lucy Thompson and the Asprey Event Team, where she worked as a Working Pupil and eventually became Head Girl. During her time with the Asprey team, she gained invaluable knowledge and experience.

In 1992, Michaela established Lincoln Stud, where she has since continued to produce and compete numerous event horses. Some notable successes include Welton Flapjack and Silver Shadow, both of whom competed at various levels and events, showcasing Michaela's talent for developing horses.

In addition to her eventing career, Michaela has also worked hard to progress through the BHS teaching examination system, earning her BHSI qualification in 1998. She has always provided freelance teaching services, assisting riders of all levels to improve their equestrian skills.
