About
Ian Davies, the organiser, has a quick update for all you wonderful folks in the sports community.
Lincoln & District Indoor Bowling Club, right here in Lincoln, has been a smashing place for indoor bowling since 1972. Initially, there were just four rinks, but by 1986, the club doubled up to eight rinks, which means more space for everyone to play. The club's had over 1400 members at its peak and currently has about 1000 active bowlers.
Ian's made sure the club is a welcoming spot for bowlers of all ages and skill levels. There are plenty of programmes and events to get involved in. Ever tried Jack Attack? It's a fun twist on the regular game, played every Saturday at 4:30 pm and Sunday at 6:30 pm from 2nd December.
The club also gets competitive, taking part in a range of tournaments and competitions throughout the year. You can catch all the action and stay updated with match results and event info on the club's social media.
But it's not all about bowling. Ian knows the importance of socialising, so the club organises social activities too. A recent highlight was the Christmas raffle, which raised a tidy £3,010 for the club. These events are great for bringing everyone together and keeping the club buzzing.
With the festive season upon us, the club will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day but will open again on 27th December. Keep an eye on the club's social media for any updates on opening hours and special events.
So, whether you're a seasoned bowler or just starting out, the Lincoln & District Indoor Bowling Club, under Ian's watchful eye, is the place to be. It’s a great spot to hone your skills, make new friends, and enjoy some indoor bowling. Cheers!
