Since its establishment in 2002 by the talented Kathie Lightfoot, Lightfoot School of Dancing has been a cornerstone of the dance community in Kirkless. Boasting an impressive track record of over 18 dance shows and a student body of over 2000 individuals ranging from 1 to 60 years old, this school truly knows how to make dance an enjoyable experience.
With a strong focus on fostering confidence and honing dance skills, Lightfoot School of Dancing proudly offers dance exams twice a year through the prestigious International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). On average, each student takes around 12 exams yearly, resulting in an astounding 20,000 successful dance exam passes thus far. However, the school holds the belief that education extends beyond exam results.
