The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Games Art and Animation at Stoke-on-Trent College Sports Academy is a fantastic two-year course designed for individuals looking to pursue a career in the games industry or further their education at university. Situated at the Digital and Creative Hub at Cauldon campus, our Art, Games, and Media department offers top-of-the-line facilities including Graphic Tablets, 3D Printers, a Motion Capture suit, and Virtual Reality Headsets.
Throughout the course, participants will focus on honing their 3D art skills such as modelling, texturing, and animation using industry-standard software like 3Ds Max, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Autodesk Maya. In the first year, students will work on two projects to build their skills, leading up to creating a Final Major Project proposal in collaboration with our tutors. The second year is all about pushing boundaries and advancing 3D art skills through self-driven projects that are pitched for approval by our knowledgeable tutors.
