This class is designed for children in primary school, from P1 to P6. It builds on the skills developed in the Babies group and introduces new dance styles such as tap, freestyle, and modern. The class follows the BATD curriculum and gives students the opportunity to participate in exams and performances.
For students from P7 to Senior 4, this class further develops the skills learned in the earlier groups. It follows the BATD curriculum through the Gold, Blue Riband, 1st Award, 2nd Award, and 3rd Award in all disciplines. Students have the opportunity to take part in exams, performances, and competitions.
This group is for students who are at the end stage of their school education. The dance classes provide a constructive way to take a break from school while still engaging in something productive. The class offers a range of dance styles and encourages creativity and self-expression.
This class is specifically designed for mature adults who may not have had prior dance experience. It provides an inclusive and supportive environment for individuals to learn various dance styles and improve fitness and flexibility.
Classical ballet is the foundation of most dance styles, and this dance school is delighted to offer classes in classical ballet. The class follows the BATD curriculum and focuses on developing technique, agility, strength, and grace.
Lesley Dutch School of Dance has been teaching children's dance classes in East Kilbride for over 40 years. The school offers a variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, modern, freestyle, and majorettes. Classical ballet is also taught, and students have the opportunity to participate in the Scottish Ballet Associate Scheme. Lesley Dutch, the founder and principal of the school, trained at the Lillian McNeil School of Dancing in Glasgow and has obtained numerous qualifications in ballet, tap, modern dance, and Highland through various dance associations. Lesley's passion for dance, particularly ballet, is evident in the commitment to teaching dance properly and ensuring that qualifications are up-to-date.
