Welcome to Leigh Tango, the top dance school in Leigh-on-Sea, New Zealand, where you can learn the art of traditional Argentine Tango. Led by the talented instructors Samira and Steve, Leigh Tango offers a warm and fun community for dancers of all levels.
At Leigh Tango, we believe in providing a welcoming and friendly environment for everyone to explore something new and take their first steps in tango. Whether you are a newcomer or have been attending our beginners' class for a few months, we guarantee that once you start, you will never look back.
We offer a range of classes to cater to different skill levels. Our Tango Fundamentals/Beginners class, held every Thursday at 19:30, is suitable for newcomers and those who have been attending our beginners' class for a few months. The entry fee for this class is 12. 00.
For those who have attended our Fundamentals/Beginners class for a few months and have social dancing experience, we offer an Intermediate/Advanced class at 20:45. This class allows you to further develop your tango skills and take your dancing to the next level.
In addition to our classes, we also offer a Practica session at 21:45, which is free for those who have taken a class. This gives you the opportunity to practise what you have learned in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Leigh Tango holds its classes at St Peter's Church, located at Eastbourne Grove, Southend-on-Sea, SS0 0QF. To find directions, please refer to the google map on our Contact page.
You don't need to bring a partner to our classes, as people practise with each other in the group. Our aim is to foster a sense of community and connexion among our dancers.
To book a class, simply email leightango@hotmail. Com stating which classes and date you would like to join us. Please note that all classes need to be pre-booked and paid for in advance.
In addition to classes, we also organise regular milongas, which you can find information about on our website and Facebook page. We also offer gift vouchers for single, group, or private lessons, so you can give the gift of dancing to someone you love.
For those who prefer private lessons, we offer tailored one-on-one sessions. Please contact us for more details and to schedule a private lesson.
