Master Anita Drury's personal journey with AEGIS Martial Arts began when she enrolled her son as a student. Impressed by the academy's ethos and the quality of instruction, she became intrigued by how the AEGIS System helped people grow in confidence, skill, and fitness. Being quite shy herself, she decided to join the academy and train alongside her son as an instructor.
As a result of her training and the support of the instructors, Master Anita Drury experienced life-changing transformation. She gained confidence, qualified as an instructor, and eventually took over the Leeds North AEGIS Academy, running it alongside her son. Master Anita Drury takes great pride in witnessing the growth and development of her students, especially those who initially step onto the mat feeling nervous and shy but eventually become the best versions of themselves, earning their Black Belts.
