About
Stéphane wants to share some exciting news with the sports community! The Club de badminton L’Escale has been around for over 35 years and is a staple in the Clarence-Rockland area, just 30 minutes east of Ottawa. They've been an active member of the Ottawa District Badminton Association (ODBA) for a decade, making significant contributions to the local badminton scene.
The club offers game nights twice a week during the school year, split by grade levels. Grades 5, 6, and 7 play on Tuesdays, while Grades 8, 9, and 10 play on Thursdays. Students in Grades 11 and 12 and adults (16+) can join in on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7:30 PM.
Registration forms are up on the “Membership Rules” page of the club's website. It's important for all members under 19 to wear protective or prescription glasses during games.
Stéphane and the team also organise special activities throughout the year like tournaments and themed nights for Halloween, Christmas, and Easter, plus an annual BBQ. These events are great for socializing and strengthening the club's community ties.
The club welcomes players of all languages and encourages diversity among its members. While most communication is in French, everyone passionate about badminton is welcome, regardless of their first language.
Come join the Club de badminton L’Escale for a fun, friendly, and enriching sports experience. Dust off your racquet and meet us on the courts! Follow us on Facebook to stay up-to-date with the club’s latest news and events.
