Daniel Hollister, the organiser of Lea Valley Karate Academy, wanted to drop a quick note to the sports community about what’s happening at the academy.
Founded back in 2004, the academy has thrived under Daniel’s expert guidance. With his background as a former Senior England International and holding a 4th Dan Black Belt, the academy’s credibility is unquestionable. It’s where tradition meets high standards in the heart of Hertfordshire and Essex.
The academy covers all aspects of Wado Ryu Karate, from self-defence to excelling in competitions. It’s a safe, friendly place where everyone’s encouraged to reach their best. Plus, they’ve teamed up with SPACE, a local charity supporting families affected by autism, ADHD, and similar conditions. This partnership ensures inclusivity, making karate accessible to those with additional needs.
New to karate? Lea Valley Karate Academy offers a free one-month trial to see if it's your thing. It’s a great chance to get a feel for the training methods and sense of community.
For your karate gear, BestSport UK is their go-to supplier. They provide quality and affordable equipment to keep you kitted out.
The academy also takes safeguarding seriously. They’ve earned the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts, backed by Sport England. They follow top-notch practices from the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit and English Karate Federation guidelines.
