At TRAC, we take pride in providing top-quality aquatic education in a safe and nurturing environment. Our fully qualified teachers are passionate about making swimming a fun experience for all ages, from 6 months to adults. We believe that positive aquatic experiences start from a young age, which is why we recommend introducing babies to water familiarisation lessons from as early as 6 months old.
Our teachers hold qualifications from Austswim, Royal Lifesaving Society Australia, and the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA). These are the leading organisations in Australia for teaching swimming and water safety, ensuring that you receive the best instruction possible. Learning to swim as an adult can be a rewarding and empowering experience. Whether you're looking to overcome a fear of water or simply want to improve your skills, our Adult Learn to Swim classes are perfect for you. We focus on teaching the freestyle stroke, as it's the most commonly desired stroke among adults. However, if the group is willing and capable, we're more than happy to explore and develop other strokes as well.
Our classes start with the basics, such as submerging and blowing bubbles. We then move on to body positioning, kicking, and arm strokes. Breathing and timing techniques are refined towards the end. Our classes take place in our purpose-built 15m indoor pool, designed specifically for learning to swim. All equipment is provided, and we recommend wearing goggles for optimal comfort.
Before enrolling, each child will undergo a free assessment to ensure they're placed in the appropriate level for their ability. We offer lessons 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday, across our 3 Aquatic Centres. Morning and afternoon time slots are available, so you can choose what works best for you. Our class prices are $165 per term, which breaks down to just $16.50 per class. Private lessons are also available upon request, accommodating one or two students from the same family, depending on their swimming ability and instructor availability.
