Invicta Fencing Academy presents the Learn to Fence – Beginner Courses, a thrilling opportunity for those who have always wanted to learn to fence or are simply looking to try something new. Our professionally accredited coaches will guide you through the basic techniques and tactics of rapier duelling, ensuring that you have a solid foundation in this exhilarating sport.
The Beginner's Course, which lasts for 8–10 weeks, promises pure fencing fun. We will teach you how to handle a rapier, engage an opponent, and execute basic combat techniques and strategies. As a special offer to get you hooked, your first lesson is absolutely FREE. That's right, no cost at all! Once you complete the Beginner's Course and become a Novice, classes will be available at an affordable rate of $15 per night. We also offer options to reduce the cost for the term or with 10 class cards.
Our classes take place every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm until 9.30pm at the Hamlyn-Harris Pavilion, located in the scenic Mt Gravatt Showgrounds. The Beginner's Course begins at 6.30pm and lasts for 45 minutes. Don't worry about bringing any equipment – we provide it all. Just make sure to come dressed in comfortable clothes and bring your sport or running shoes. And of course, don't forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the training sessions.
