Learn to dive with MKSAC Milton Keynes Sub-Aqua Club. They offer diving training at various levels, from Ocean Diver to Advanced Diver. The club has experienced instructors who can teach you all the necessary skills. Once you become an Ocean Diver, you can join the club for diving sessions. The next step in your training is becoming a Sports Diver, which prepares you for more advanced diving activities. Training takes place in the pool, clubhouse, and the Blue Lagoon. If you wish to progress further, you can take courses to become a Dive Leader or an Advanced Diver.
The cost of the courses includes BSAC training manuals and logbooks. Lectures and dives are conducted either at the local pool or the Blue Lagoon. However, the costs of other dives, such as those to the coast or Stoney Cove, are not included. Please note that slightly higher charges may apply if you need to update your paperwork from an older qualification.
In addition to the diving courses, MKSAC also offers Skill Development Courses. These courses are run in-house and cover various topics. Some courses available are Boat Handling, Compressor Operation, Dive Planning and Marshalling, Oxygen Administration, Practical Rescue Management, and Search and Recovery. The duration, maximum number of students, and approximate prices for each course are provided.
MKSAC has successfully organised many Skill Development Courses within the Branch in recent years. These courses have covered a wide range of topics such as Nitrox, Dive Planning and Marshalling, Practical Rescue Management, First Aid, VHF Marine Radio, Chartwork, Oxygen Administration, and Compressor Operation. The most popular course offered by the club recently has been the BSAC Combined Nitrox, with many members qualifying. If the club doesn't have an appropriate instructor for a particular course, they can usually arrange it through their contacts with other local clubs. So, if you are interested in a specific course, don't hesitate to ask!
