Lazy Runner – Ballarat is excited to promote Lazy Running Bootcamps, a series of running workshops aimed at providing runners with the knowledge they need to excel in their favourite sport. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, these workshops are designed to answer your burning questions about running and help you improve your skills.
The bootcamp consists of four sessions, each priced at $20 per person. But here's the best part: you also have the option to attend the full bootcamp for only $50 per person. That's a fantastic deal for anyone looking to dive deep into the world of running.
Let's take a closer look at what each session has to offer:
Session 1: Know Your Running Pace
In this session, participants will have the opportunity to discover their ideal running pace. By analysing various factors, runners will walk away with personalised pace figures that suit their individual speed and longer runs. This hour-long session covers 5 km of running and is open to all runners who can comfortably run 5 km or more, regardless of pace. Remember to come dressed in appropriate running gear and bring a drink and something warm to wear before and after the running component.
Session 2: Run Right
Running may seem easy, but it's important to ensure proper technique and posture to avoid potential problems. In this session, participants will learn the basics of running posture and technique and identify any small errors they might be making. By correcting these minor issues, running will become easier and more enjoyable. The session lasts for an hour and is suitable for both non-runners and experienced runners. Participants should come dressed in running gear and bring a drink and warm clothing for breaks between running sessions.
Session 3: Running Stretches and Recovery
In this session, participants will be introduced to a variety of stretches that specifically target muscles used in running. Our experienced coach, with 31 years of running experience, has curated a selection of effective stretching exercises that many runners may not be familiar with. The session will also include PNF stretches, which are known for their effectiveness. It is recommended to wear warm clothing and bring a yoga or exercise mat to fully enjoy this session.
Session 4: Running Aches/Pains and Injuries and Running 101
For runners who have experienced aches, pains, or injuries that have hindered their running progress, this session is a must-attend. Our coach, who has remained injury-free throughout their 27-year running journey, will share their insights on injury prevention and treatment. This non-technical session focuses on self-treatment methods for aches, pains, and injuries, as well as tips for avoiding them. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask our experienced running coach any questions they have. The session is suitable for all levels of runners.
Lazy Running Bootcamps will be held in multiple locations, including Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Alternatively, if you have a personal group interested in attending, our coach can arrange a session at your preferred location.
So don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your running skills and knowledge. Participate in Lazy Running Bootcamps and take your running game to the next level. Each session is only $20, or you can attend the full bootcamp for just $50. Dress in your running gear, bring along a drink, and get ready to improve your running experience. We can't wait to see you there!
