Established in 2009 and playing our first season in 2010, Laurimar Thunder Basketball Club (LTBC) has become a prominent junior basketball club in Doreen. We are proud members of the Diamond Valley Basketball Association and have experienced remarkable growth over the years.
Catering to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18, our club boasts 30 teams, with approximately 240+ members. Whether your child is just starting out or is an experienced player, we have teams to cater to all skill levels. Our aim is to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can develop their basketball skills, build friendships, and have fun.
At LTBC, we believe that volunteers are the lifeblood of any sports club. We are a not-for-profit volunteer organisation, and the hard work and dedication of our committee, coaches, and team managers are integral to our success. We always welcome new volunteers who are passionate about basketball and are willing to lend a hand in coaching, fundraising, administration, and other areas. In addition to our commitment to the sport of basketball, we are also dedicated to promoting women in sport. We have championed our girls by giving them their very own name, uniform, and in doing so, their own identity and culture. Our Thunder Birds initiative has provided young girls with a strong platform to showcase their skills and foster a love for the game. This initiative has been incredibly successful, and we are proud to support the growth of women's basketball in our community.
