Laurieston Bowling Club

Laurieston Bowling Club, also known as LBC, is a thriving community club located in Falkirk, New Zealand. Since its establishment in 1913, the club has become an integral part of the sporting and social life of the village. Laurieston Bowling Club is dedicated to continuously improving its facilities for the benefit of its members. Thanks to a grant of over 30k from the Falkirk Community Schools 2008 Fund, work has begun on the extension of the locker room. This will provide enhanced storage space for the club's members. Additionally, the club has received a grant of 10k from EB Scotland towards the resurfacing of its artificial bankings and the replacement of timber edges on the green.

With a rich history dating back to its inaugural meeting in 1913, Laurieston Bowling Club has stood the test of time. From humble beginnings, the club has grown into a vibrant and inclusive community that welcomes bowlers of all skill levels. The club's first President, Mr James H Mather, recognised the need for a bowling green in the village and worked tirelessly to bring the vision to life. While there were various milestones along the way, the centenary celebrated by members marked the first minuted meeting at which office bearers and committee members were elected.
