Launceston Bridge Club

Welcome to Launceston Bridge Club! Founded in February 1971, the club has become a vibrant and active community with around 190 members and alternate members. We are located at 22-24 Glen Dhu Street in South Launceston, with ample unrestricted parking in the surrounding streets and a newly constructed car park at the back of the club building.

At Launceston Bridge Club, we offer five playing sessions per week, with the largest attendance generally seen on Fridays at 1:00pm. Prospective members and visiting pairs are always welcome to join us for any of our sessions. If you are new to bridge or interested in learning the game, we offer beginner's classes. If you are visiting and need a partner for a session, our partnership co-ordinator, Barbara Peers, can be contacted at 0400 871 266. We recommend reaching out to Barbara well in advance to secure a partner.

For those new to bridge or looking to improve their skills, we have a range of opportunities available. Our current beginner's tutor is Pauline Anderson, whom you can contact at 0409 018 829. Our beginner's course usually consists of one session per week for ten weeks. Additionally, supervised play is available on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at our club premises.

For intermediate and emerging bridge players, Pamela Lidl conducts two-hour lessons at her home. The lessons take place on Mondays at 7:00pm, Wednesdays at 10:00am, and Fridays at 10:00am. To get in touch with Pam and join her lessons, please contact her at 0417 769 640.
