Lasswade Archery Club, nestled in Bonnyrigg, Scotland, is where archery legends are made. Started in 1979, it's one of the oldest clubs around, proudly linked with Archery GB and the Scottish Archery Association under the Eastern Area banner.
Dave, the organiser, has seen the club’s reach grow beyond Bonnyrigg, drawing in folks from Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, and even from the Borders. Whether you’re just starting, have a bit of experience, or are an archery pro, Dave’s club has a spot for you. Kids over 10, sprightly seniors, and archers with disabilities all find a home here at Lasswade.
At Lasswade, they love all kinds of bows – Olympic Recurve, Compound, Barebow, English Longbow, even the occasional American Flatbow and Mongolian Horse Bow. It's a mix that keeps things lively and lets everyone learn a trick or two from each other.
Respect is the name of the game. Dave keeps things non-judgmental and supportive, following a Code of Conduct that makes everyone feel safe and welcome.
Thinking of joining? Just give Lasswade a shout. They’re always excited to welcome new members, and the seasoned archers are ready to help you get started. Keep up with the latest at Lasswade by following their Facebook page.
