Laris Farm is owned and operated by Beacon Equestrian LLP, a partnership formed by Nay Rathmell and Betsy Irwin. Nay Rathmell, the Yard Manager and Rider, has a wealth of experience in the equestrian world. Starting riding as a child, Nay's talent was quickly recognised, and she was offered an apprenticeship, eventually training as a top-level event rider. As an adult, Nay decided to specialise in Showjumping and has excelled in this discipline ever since.
Betsy Irwin, the Licence Holder and Chief Instructor, has a diverse background in riding. Growing up on her family farm, she participated in pony club events and excelled in eventing and show jumping. However, an opportunity to train at an international dressage yard and training centre changed her path. Achieving her BHSAI at a young age, Betsy discovered her true passion lies in helping others achieve their goals in riding.
At Laris Farm, we offer a variety of services to cater to the needs of our clients. From private and group lessons to specialised training programmes, we strive to tailor our approach to suit each individual's goals and abilities. Our school horses are well-trained and well-cared for, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for both beginner and advanced riders.
In addition to our regular lessons, we also offer Pony Days, where children can immerse themselves in the world of horses. These immersive experiences allow children to learn about horsemanship, grooming, and riding in a fun and educational way.
