

Langside Bowling Club, located in Glasgow's Southside, is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and a registered Glasgow Life Community Sports Club. It is dedicated to providing its members and the wider community with quality opportunities for multi-sports activities, recreation, hospitality, bio-diversity, and volunteering at Albert Park.
The club's main focus is to make a positive impact through sport, bio-diversity, volunteering, and recreation in a safe, friendly, respectful, and inclusive environment. They believe in creating opportunities for their members and the wider community to be active in sport to support health and well-being, active in volunteering to learn new skills and grow in confidence, and active in recreation to build a thriving hub of social and leisure activity.
Langside Bowling Club offers a range of sporting facilities, primarily for bowls, cricket, and tennis. In addition, the club's grounds are regularly used by various community groups for other sporting and recreational activities, including archery, fitness, and football. The club boasts four all-weather courts, one standard bowling green, one back green (standard bowling green size), and a large pitch.
The club's grounds consist of two buildings, the Clubhouse and the Pavilion. Both buildings provide space for indoor activities, social events, and hospitality. They are equipped with kitchen facilities, toilets, changing rooms, and showering areas. The Clubhouse also features the Langside Rest, a bar, and refreshment service available to members and those hiring the facility for events such as parties, communions, baby showers, and workshops.
Langside Bowling Club's mission is to create a vibrant, progressive, and sustainable club that offers fantastic quality facilities for its community of members and beyond to enjoy various sports, recreation, bio-diversity, and volunteering opportunities. The club's core values include fostering a whole club community ethos, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment, promoting skill development through volunteering, creating strong links with the local community, and taking a proactive approach to promoting the club.
Langside Bowling Club is currently crowdfunding 20,000 to support grounds and facility improvements that will enhance accessibility, environmental friendliness, and sustainability. Proposed improvements include new windows and shutters, an accessible toilet, a new heating system, cricket practise net facilities, and LED floodlights for the tennis courts. The club is seeking support from the community to make these improvements a reality.
