Lakeside Coarse Fishery is a warm and welcoming fishing pond located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. This family-run fishery offers two well-established coarse lakes that are nestled in serene and natural surroundings, providing an abundance of wildlife for visitors to enjoy. Lakeside Coarse Fishery is open during the summer months, from 1st March to 30th November 2024, and operates seven days a week from dawn until dusk. However, during the winter months, the fishery is closed, and it reopens on 1st March 2024.
The top coarse lake at Lakeside Fishery spans 2 acres and reaches a maximum depth of 14 feet. This mixed fishery caters to both pleasure anglers and those seeking larger fish. The lake features a spacious island, and each swim presents a unique challenge, including shallow areas, deep margins, varying depths, and marginal plants. The lake boasts 27 swims, all of which are equipped with secure wooden or steel platforms, with many accessible to wheelchair users.
The top coarse lake is stocked with a variety of fish, including carp, bream, tench, perch, roach, and gudgeon, among others. The current record for the top lake stands at 31lb 4oz for a common carp caught in 2020. The bottom coarse lake, which spans 2. 5 acres and reaches a maximum depth of 18 feet, is well stocked with tench, grass carp, roach, chub, and perch.

To pay for swims, visitors are requested to place the correct payment in an envelope and include their name and car registration number on the envelope. The completed envelope should then be posted through the lodge door. While the lodge remains closed until further notice, toilet facilities are still open for visitors' convenience. It is important to note that no fish are allowed to be taken from the lakes, and certain activities such as wading, the use of boats, and the use of gaffs are not permitted.
