Welcome to Labrador Hockey Club, home of the Tigerstix. Located in the Gold Coast Hockey Precinct at Labrador, Gold Coast, Labrador Tigerstix Hockey Club is a family-oriented sports club. We cater to players of all ages, starting from four years old up to Masters players. Our competition runs from March until September each year, providing a thrilling and competitive hockey experience.
Labrador teams actively participate in the local GCHA (Gold Coast Hockey Association) competition, from under 12s up to Division 1. Our youngest players engage in exciting intra-club matches on Saturday mornings, which provide a fun and graded juniors competition. On weekends, men's and women's senior player matches take place, with the exact schedule dependent on the division. Additionally, open juniors (15+) matches happen on Friday nights.
At Labrador Tigerstix Hockey Club, we take pride in our world-class junior development programme crafted to introduce our youngest players (aged 4–10 years) to the sport of hockey. This programme runs on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, nurturing the skills and passion for hockey in a supportive environment.
To promote stronger competition, Labrador Tigerstix Men field two elite teams in the BHL (Brisbane Hockey League), which is the top level competition organised by the Brisbane Hockey Association. We are continually searching for opportunities to establish a top female club team to compete in a higher level competition, such as the Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association.
