Labrador Tennis Club

Labrador Tennis Club, located at the rear of Southport State High in Southport, is a social tennis club that has been operating since 1969. Affiliated with Tennis Queensland, the club is fully insured and welcomes players of all age groups.

Social tennis days are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, Thursday mornings from 8:30am to 11:30am, Saturday afternoons from 1:00pm to 4:00pm (winter hours), and Sunday afternoons. On Wednesday nights, P1 top-level and P2 second-level social tennis is played, so please inform the club if you wish to participate.

Labrador Tennis Club hosts various social events such as quarterly barbecues, movie days, dance nights, and the amusing Funny Sunday Tennis, where players are encouraged to wear funny T-shirts, shorts, socks, hats, and more.

The club strictly adheres to social distancing rules at all times to ensure the safety of players and staff. As a non-profit organisation, Labrador Tennis Club does not hire out courts but welcomes anyone to join and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

Membership to the club is available for a yearly fee of $10. Social game fees are $7 for members and $10 for non-members, while Wednesday evening fees are $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
