This internal Chinese martial art has practitioners globally, with its origins in Chen Village, China. The classes cover both traditional and modern forms, with practitioners like Yang Chengfu and Sun Lutang promoting its health benefits in the early 20th century.

For those interested in kickboxing, Bristol Wutan offers classes in Sanda, also known as Chinese kickboxing or Chinese boxing. Developed based on the study and practises of traditional kung fu and modern combat fighting techniques by the Chinese military, Sanda combines full-contact kickboxing with wrestling, takedowns, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and even elbow and knee strikes in some competitions.
