Welcome to Kung Fu Schools Gillingham, a top martial arts school located in Gillingham, New Zealand. Our school specialises in offering fun and structured Wing Chun Kung Fu classes for both children and adults. Our classes are designed to be accessible to students of all levels, with no prior fitness level or knowledge of martial arts required.
For the next generation of Kung Fu masters, we have our Little Dragons programme. This programme is specifically designed as an introduction to martial arts for children. The main focus of the class is self-defence, physical skill development, positive reinforcement, and character building. Our experienced instructors provide one-on-one instruction to ensure that every student achieves their goals.
In addition to martial achievements within the class, we also reward children for their positive actions and achievements outside of class, believing that an aspiring black belt should reflect a child's attitude to life, not just martial arts.
Our Junior Warriors programme is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years old. As children grow and mature, we understand that the style of teaching needs to evolve. These classes are more complex and challenging, focusing on basic self-defence, partner work, and weapons training. Confidence building and maintaining a black belt attitude in all aspects of life are also emphasised in these classes.
The journey starts with Junior Warrior Beginner classes and progresses to our longer and more challenging Black Belt Training Course classes, leadership classes, and eventually to the adult classes.
For adults looking to get into martial arts, our adult Kung Fu classes are ideal. These beginner classes are designed for those with no prior martial arts experience or for those transitioning from another martial art. The classes provide the building blocks necessary for future training and offer practical self-defence skills. Whether you are looking to improve fitness, relieve stress, learn self-defence, or experience an authentic traditional martial art form, we have a training programme to suit your needs.
Wing Chun, our chosen martial art, is a highly effective self-defence system, allowing students to practically apply the techniques they learn from day one.
