Kung Fu Kindy Balcatta is a martial arts school located in Butler, Western Australia. Specifically designed for young children aged 3–5 years, this school aims to introduce them to the world of martial arts in a fun and engaging way. Unlike many traditional martial arts schools, Kung Fu Kindy recognises that young children may not be ready for structured and rigid methodologies. Therefore, their approach seamlessly blends martial arts training with play, creating a comfortable environment for children to develop discipline, respect, confidence, and focus.
For children aged 6–9 years, Kung Fu Kindy offers the Ninja School programme. This programme continues to introduce children to martial arts and the core values associated with it, such as discipline, respect, confidence, and focus. With an emphasis on self-improvement, children not only learn important martial arts skills but also develop life skills that can be applied outside the dojo.
For individuals aged 10 years and above, Kung Fu Kindy offers the Karateka Programme, which focuses on traditional Karate. In addition to teaching the physical aspects of Karate, this programme also emphasises the development of five essential virtues: courage, discipline, justice, resilience, and wisdom. Participants in this programme can expect a challenging yet rewarding journey that contributes to their mental, physical, and spiritual development.
At Kung Fu Kindy Balcatta, a dedicated team leads the various programmes. Mark Lupo serves as the Programme Director, ensuring the smooth operation of the school. Zoe Cowen takes on the role of Customer Success Manager, providing support and assistance to students and their families. Eddie Skerritt serves as the Chief Instructor, bringing his expertise and knowledge to guide students through their martial arts journey.
Anna Touw serves as the Care Leader for Kung Fu Kindy, ensuring the well-being and safety of all participants.
Kung Fu Kindy offers a variety of resources, including their “Kung Fu Kindy at Home” subscription, which provides access to training videos and tutorials. This allows students to continue their martial arts practise even outside of class.
