Assistant Instructor Morgan Braganza, the Kung-Fu for Christ team consists of passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to teaching students the art of kung-fu while instilling Biblical values. Each member of the team brings their own unique skill set and experience to the program, ensuring that students receive high-quality instruction in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Classes are held on Thursday nights at The Salvation Army Kitchener Community Church, catering to children and youth aged 7–15 years as well as adults aged 16 and above. The program is designed to be inclusive and adaptable to individuals of all ages, physical abilities, and martial arts backgrounds.
The benefits of learning kung-fu extend beyond physical fitness, with students gaining valuable life skills such as mental focus, increased concentration, peace, patience, perseverance, respect, and self-control. By keeping in step with the Spirit and demonstrating love, joy, and other fruits of the Spirit, students are encouraged to apply these teachings in both kung-fu and everyday living.
Led by Sifu Alan Braganza, who brings over 25 years of training in Shaolin kung-fu and a wealth of teaching experience, the Kung-Fu for Christ program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to learn martial arts in a Christ-centered environment. With a schedule of classes running from December 2023 to June 2024, students have the chance to train under the guidance of experienced instructors who are dedicated to their growth and development.
