Katie Durant, the founder of KT The Dance School, has an impressive background in performing arts. She trained at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts and gained numerous qualifications, including the Italia Conti National Diploma in Performing Arts and advanced levels in Ballet, Tap, and Modern. She also holds associate teaching qualifications. Katie's professional work includes performances in The Children's Royal Variety Performance, Step into Ballet with Wayne Sleep, and the acclaimed play “Ghost from a Perfect Place” by Phillip Ridley.

After graduating, Katie worked as a dancer in France, Holland, and Japan before using her associate teaching qualifications to become a dance teacher. In 2003, she established KT The Dance School and has since been proud of the achievements of her pupils and the school. The school has produced outstanding theatre shows, including “Cirque du Dance” at The Mick Jagger Centre, “10 Years of KT The Dance School” at The Woodville, and “Christmas Capers” at The Mick Jagger Centre.

Katie has also choreographed pieces for prestigious venues such as Rochester Cathedral, Her Majesty's Theatre, and Sadler's Wells. Her teaching has yielded National and Area competition winners, showcasing the excellence and dedication of KT The Dance School.
