Located in Kananaskis, KPOW! Cat Skiing at Fortress Mountain offers an unparalleled skiing experience for strong intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders. With annual snowfall amounts of between 7 and 9 meters, Fortress Mountain provides the perfect opportunity to ski and ride on virgin snow. Explore the former and soon to be again Fortress Mountain Resort with just you and 13 others, giving you the chance to seek out the very best snow available and find secret stashes of powder.
KPOW Cat Skiing operates four days per week, from Wednesday to Saturday, with pricing options available for single seat and full cat booking for up to 14 guests. A typical day at KPOW starts with a convoy up the Fortress Access Road, where guests are welcomed with morning coffee and a safety briefing. Guests can enjoy 10-12 runs throughout the day, with breaks for snacks and water provided on the cat between runs.
Lunch is included in all bookings and consists of hot soup and wraps, with several locations to choose from based on the weather. Guests can also opt for a catered mountain BBQ lunch for full cat bookings. At the end of the day, guests are transported back to the base of Fortress Mountain to dream of their next visit to KPOW Cat Skiing.
Mountain weather can be unpredictable, so it is recommended to layer clothing and pack extra gear for changing conditions. KPOW Cat Skiing strives to accommodate all allergy and dietary requirements, with requests accepted up to 2 days prior to arrival.
