Batia Slater is the owner and personal trainer of Kosher Fitness Personal Training, located in St Kilda East, VIC. Batia's passion for fitness and health led her to establish this fitness centre, specifically catering to the Orthodox Jewish women's community. As an Orthodox Jewish woman herself, Batia understands the unique challenges and barriers that this community faces when it comes to exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Batia's journey in the fitness industry began in 2019 when she completed her Personal Training Certification III and IV. She further expanded her expertise in 2021 by completing her Certification IV in Pilates Matwork and Reformer Instruction. Drawing from her personal experiences, Batia's main goal is to help Orthodox Jewish women overcome these barriers by creating a completely private, safe, kosher, and Torah'dik environment for them to work out.
Batia's approach to personal training is focused on tailoring each exercise session to meet the specific needs and goals of the individual. Every session is a personalised programme designed to help clients reach their own personal targets. With a focus on intelligent and functional movement patterns, Batia ensures that her clients achieve optimal health, strength, and independence at every stage of their lives.
Batia's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Physiotherapy from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centre, and a Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. She also holds Certificates III & IV in Fitness from the Australian Fitness Academy and a Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork and Reformer from Breathe Education.
