Koroit Bowls Club

Koroit Bowls Club, located in Moyne Shire, is a vibrant sports club that offers a range of activities for both bowlers and social members. The club has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1958 by the Highton Progress Association. The club hosts regular men's, ladies', and mixed social matches on its three outdoor greens, which include two grass greens and one synthetic green. The synthetic green, named the 'Founder's Green', is situated in front of the clubhouse and is equipped with lighting, allowing for play day and night, throughout all seasons. Additionally, the club boasts a four-rink carpeted green located beneath the clubhouse, which is used for coaching and practise sessions throughout the year.

In addition to its bowls activities, Koroit Bowls Club offers a range of social events and amenities. The club's Friday Night Bistro is a popular gathering spot, serving delicious meals to members and guests. The large clubhouse, with a seating capacity of over 160, is an ideal venue for functions and events. The commercial-grade kitchen is used by members or the club's in-house caterer for club event meals.

Membership at Koroit Bowls Club offers numerous opportunities for competitive play. Members can join Club Championship events or participate in Midweek and Weekend Pennants in the Geelong Bowls Region competition. In recent years, the club has enjoyed significant success, with all seven Pennant teams reaching the finals and the Division 1 Pennant team clinching the topship title and advancing to the leading League.

The club is focused on attracting new members and injecting more youth into its ranks. They actively promote social bowls activities such as Crackerjack and Barefoot Bowls as a way to introduce potential members to the sport in a relaxed and fun environment. With a strong emphasis on fostering friendship and camaraderie, the club also organises post-game wrap events that have become increasingly popular among players.
