Kootenay Martial Arts is proud to be the largest martial arts school in the Kootenays, with three locations in Nelson, Playmor Junction, and Castlegar. Our main office and Dojang in Nelson provides a spacious and well-equipped training area for students of all ages and skill levels to practice and improve their taekwondo techniques.
We offer a variety of programs, including adult martial arts, kids martial arts, and teens martial arts, as well as an afterschool program for kids aged 4-9 in Nelson. Our focus is on inspiring, educating, and developing individuals to become resilient, confident leaders for life and for our communities.
Founder and Senior Instructor, Master Dean Siminoff, a 6th DAN Taekwondo Black Belt certified with World Tae Kwon Do Federation & USCDKA, brings over 22 years of experience to our school.
