Welcome to Kofukan Karate Australia – Meadow Springs Dojo (Kofukan Mandurah), a leading karate school located in Meadow Springs, Western Australia. Our dojo offers traditional Shito-ryu Karate-do, the practise directly descended from the legendary Okinawan karate masters. Led by our team of highly trained instructors, all of whom have been assessed and trained by international Chief Instructor, Shihan Keiji Tomiyama (9th Dan), we provide top-quality instruction in the art of karate.

At Kofukan Karate Australia, we believe that karate is for everyone. Whether you are a child or an adult, a beginner or an advanced practitioner, our club welcomes students of all ages and skill levels. With a focus on self-defence, we teach effective and functional techniques that can be applied in real-life situations. Situational awareness, bully prevention, and self-preservation in the face of violence are important aspects of our training.

In addition to self-defence skills, karate also instils confidence and discipline in our students. We encourage individuals to overcome fears and embarrassment, building their self-confidence both inside and outside the dojo. Respect and self-control are fundamental values that we teach, helping students develop discipline and a sense of responsibility.

Our instructors provide a range of classes tailored to different age groups, including karate-based games for younger kids. At Kofukan Karate Australia, we have dojos located throughout Perth's southern suburbs, the Mandurah area, Kalgoorlie in regional Western Australia, and Hervey Bay, Queensland.
