KIXX Martial Arts Club

KIXX Martial Arts Club, located in Maidstone, Kent, UK, is a martial arts school specialising in authentic traditional Chinese martial arts. The club is led by Nigel Gilham (8th Dan Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan) and Tracy Gilham (7th Dan Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan), who have a combined experience in martial arts of over 70 years. They were awarded their levels in person at the South Shaolin Wuzuquan Union Meeting in Quanzhou, China.

Nigel and Tracy are both students of Grandmaster Han Jin Yuan (Kim Sen Han), who is a disciple of the late Grandmaster Xu Jin Dong (Chee Kim Thong). They have strong training links to the South Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou, China, and to the Chee Kim Thong Health and Pugilistic Society in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The instructors at KIXX Martial Arts Club provide expert tuition, both in-person at the club and remotely through Zoom, ensuring that students can continue their training regardless of location.

The club offers a varied timetable of scheduled classes, catering to both adults and children. The classes cover a range of martial arts disciplines, including Martial Chinese Boxing, Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan, Pushing Hands (Tui Shou), Qingda, Sanshou, Weapons, Wu Chi, Wushu, Fitness, Relaxation, and Competition. Additionally, they offer 1-2-1 personal training sessions for those seeking more individualised instruction.

Shifu Han Jin Yuan (1940-2023), also known as Shifu Han Kim Sen, was a disciple of Shifu Chee Kim Thong. He was the only senior master in Europe and was authorised by the International Wuzuquan Union in China. Born in Singapore in 1940, Shifu Han had a deep passion for all forms of sport, with a special love for martial arts and Wuzuquan.

In addition to Nigel and Tracy Gilham, KIXX Martial Arts Club boasts a team of skilled instructors. Sifu Nigel Gilham, the Chief Instructor, holds an 8th Dan Black Sash in Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan, a 3rd Dan Black Sash in Chinese Boxing, and a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. Sifu Tracy Gilham, a Senior Instructor, holds a 7th Dan Black Sash in Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan and a 5th Dan Black Sash in Chinese Boxing. Sifu Ian Gauron, another instructor at the club, holds a 5th Dan Black Sash in Chinese Boxing and a 3rd Dan Black Sash in Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan.

Lastly, Sifu Mark Bond, an instructor, holds a 5th Dan Black Sash in Chinese Boxing and a 3rd Dan Black Sash in Nan Shaolin Wuzuquan.
