In September 2015, Kiveton Community Sports Park received a significant investment boost of nearly half a million pounds. This funding allowed the park to replace the old tarmac sports facility, which was in dire need of repair. After three years of hard work by the development trust, the dream of a state-of-the-art all-weather sports facility became a reality. The park is grateful to its main funders, Power to Change and Harsco Steel, as well as other contributors to the facility's development.
The vision of Kiveton Community Sports Park is to provide the community of Kiveton, Wales, and the wider area with a sports facility fit for the 21st century. To achieve this, the park collaborated with Burnell Briercliffe architects and Charles Lawrence surfaces, both specialists in the field. The result is a cutting-edge 3G all-weather facility, incorporating the latest advancements in playing surfaces.
Apart from the main pitch, the park also features multiple playing areas including a 9v9 pitch (73m × 46m), a 7v7 pitch (55m × 37m), and three 5v5 pitches (37m × 22. 3m) with pitch dividers.
